What a successful
year.
- With increased number of
visitors of all ages
- Growing Membership
Reporting of nearly 100 members. (In 2006 we had 5!)
- 2nd Year Anniversary in New
location
- Selected for
membership in the prestigious Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area.
- Received a positive response
from the Sugar Beet display from patrons.
- Thoe Studio glass plate
negatives, ended with over 7000 images!. Superb clarity and quality.
Well over 400 hrs spent scanning, cataloguing, and Archival storing the
negatives . If your looking for a photo of a area relatives, maybe we can help.
Copies of pictures will be
available for a small fee .
- School House at
River park is a on-going project with more additions planned. Completing of new higher foundation to prevent further flood damage and
Painting inside and out has been done. As funds become available we'd like
to build a belfry for the school.
- Always updating
inventory of our collection.
- Digitizing of
150 years of Belmond newspapers. Phase ONE Papers 1876-1925 + Phase TWO
in 2011 A great resource for researchers and genealogists.

- Museum provided window display in Honor of 100th Anniversary
of Scouting in America. With the 70th Anniversary of Belmond local Troop
16; with the attraction of lighted display for our visitors after
museum store hrs.
